UNEMPLOYED YOUTHS

Graduates and non-graduates alike roam the streets of Africa for years looking for white-collar jobs, when with little funds they could start fish farming in their backyard and become financially independent. Equipped with their experience, they could also periodically organize Seminars for potential farmers, or become “Consultants” to individuals or big establishments interested in setting up fish farms.

There are currently hundreds of smart, hitherto unemployed youths in Nigeria who are making good living engaged in one fish-farming activity or the other; they own small fish farms or specialise in fingerlings or juvenile production or merely offer their services to spawn or sort fishes for farmers who lack the knowledge. They also serve as agents to source fingerlings or juveniles for farmers who wish to stock their ponds and make good money doing so. Instead of getting frustrated wasting away at home, other unemployed youths should take a cue from these smart, young boys and girls, buy our manual, educate themselves about fish farming and then………..go start something.
